The Thing About Demographic Questions

It’s not always necessary to include demographic questions on your surveys.

After you’ve set objectives, think about whether these questions are essential towards reaching your goals. In case they’re integral, add the demographic questions at the end of the survey and keep them relevant.

For example, if you can do without knowing your respondent’s age or religious preference, keep these questions off your survey. If you must ask, don’t forget to include the ‘I prefer not to answer’ option.
